When two souls drifted apart the Heavens wept.
They walked away and each other’s secrets they kept.
A creation so beautiful, fitting like puzzle pieces.
A divine union shattered like a mirror.
The reflections on the shards were ghastly.
Like an omen hiding within smiling masks.
For the pain those souls bore was disheartening.
With every step they took their essence held on tighter.
Until their essence could hold on no longer.
And at that moment the sun lost its shine.
And the clouds turned to gray.
And the moon and the stars hid that night.
And all that was left was the roar of the thunder.
And the hollowness of the bodies.
Whose souls had no consolation.
And whose minds were restless.
And eyes that were heavy and red.
Being murdered by memories of the past.
