What little * Culture I Know
I know My generation
can be amazing, trail blazing
flags waving, faces bright and brazen
Saying I want to go to tomorrowland
Or
Let me Blaze through the promised land
Than let me take my lover’s hand
And…
I know my generation
Generators and instigators
Who lit the fires in the dark
Because we turned out the lights
Even in oceans of tears we break faces with pearls
Like Saturday morning cartoons
Baked like Allen every East End afternoon
Rising o his plum of Mary Jane Watson
Higher than Peter Parker diving
From an Empirical Statement building on his basic facts
Yet failing to keep it up
So Babylon falls like Skrillex
Oh, My generation; Like Rufio’s lost boys
Hooked
Yet, free and forever
