The Norm.
To be lonely,
You don’t need to be alone.
For one to feel lonely,
Is an honor.
A discipline,
Met only by completion.
Solitude is good for the soul,
As it may not be poisoned,
By the sin of society
Normal people.
What is normal?
Are we all in fact ‘normal’,
And the others are weird?
Normality, loneliness, & solitude,
These traits aren’t needed,
For the survival of humanity.
Only one is desired.
But we all feel lonely,
Or enjoy the silence of solitude.
But those things shouldn’t make us outcasts,
For they are what make us special.
Individuality is worshiped today.
Yet we all want what is normal.
Normal.
Mainstream.
They aren’t what you want,
Even if really deep down inside,
You scream to be yourself.
