As I look up at the sky
I hear a mournful little cry
She floats down with a smile so warm
She was so beautiful, she was like a charm
As I look into her eyes
I saw what she's gone through
Her soul is broken, ripped, and torn
The song her heart played was an awful mourn

The people she loved the most
Kept secrets hidden deep inside a lonely ghost
She's disappointed so many,
Having no one to turn to.
Friends who she thought would always be there,
Left her stranded in the middle of no where
A second choice, she's always been
That competitive demon would always win

All she cared about was love and trust
But all she got was rust and dust
All her dreams, she buried deep inside her grave
She's too scared to look back, its time to now be brave
On the outside, she's filled with joy and strength
But deep within those sad brown eyes
Sadness lies within her cries
She looks up at the moon so bright
Seeking beauty where there is no light
A crystal tear swivels down her face
She told me that, she does not belong in this place

And so the angel sat and wept
Her wings bent, sliced and broken
She gave me her heart, and begged for surrender
I am her angel, her only defender

At some point in our lives, people realize that life is not as easy as it seems. I want people to know, that even though you are going through great struggles throughout your life, you will always have that little innocent angel by your side, to guide you and protect you no matter what the hardships and risks.
