When you had cancer
you never let it bring
you down,even though
you were stuck in your
house you never frowned,
you never wanted us to worry
but you were the star of glory,
even though we couldn't help you
get better, when we were around
you our stomachs would start
to flutter because we didn't
want to cry,you are my hero
and i know you will fight as
long as you can, life is like
a plane you fly and fly as
long as you can until it is
your time to land,when your
life ends here you will start
a new,feel the warmth of a
hug,the love of a kiss for
it might be your last,I hope
the cancer doesn't spread fast
for I want this time with you
to last, you are not just my
aunt you are my best friend.

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem because I was upset about my aunt with cancer. I didn't know how much time I had left with her. I wanted to read this poem to her but I didn't get the change to before she died.
