Queen of the Dream
The night sky is velvet soft,
falling in loose strands between my fingers
My body is suspended,
coexisting with clouds
Wind pushes me along
until I am spinning
And in the quiet of the hours that will not see the day
I can’t help but laugh
at those who waste their nights
grounded by sleep
instead of flying through fantasy
