The Odyssey, Part 2
Look up from your troubles.
The clouds have parted,
The waters are calm,
Heat is returning to your body.
Suddenly, the horizon looks reachable.
Stretch out your arms,
Embrace the promising view,
Breathe a sigh of relief.
Sail on—the worst is over.
Feel the hot sun
Your weathered back—
Be grateful.
Enjoy the view.
There was a time not long ago
When you didn’t really
See it in its entirety.
Now your course is set.
No matter where that is—
Far off oases,
Or home—in familiar waters.
Forget not your misery.
Remember your trials;
The days you didn’t think
You could go any further.
The tempest paved way for your paradise.
