The Final Act.
For far too long,
I've been wishing and hoping and praying
that I find exactly where i'm supposed to be standing.
I'm wondering if I've missed my cue, and if the whole show is off schedule.
I'm wondering if the lights will go out before I finish my lines, or if the stagehands will take the set away before I can make my way off stage.
Most importantly, i'm wondering if anyone or anything will be in the audience...
waiting to watch me take a bow
...or even waiting to watch me stumble over my own two feet.
Either way,
I don't know whether this show will be worth seeing;
Or that I'll be able to make it to the grand finale.
