If your heart turns to dust,
then the wind will sail it all over the world
and eventually it will get to me.

If your heart turns to stone,
i'll be sure to skip it across the atlantic
and let it sink to the bottom
so that even the scavengers can see how perfect you were.

If even it turns to ice,
I will let it melt right into my hands.
And it will burn, even though it's so cold.
And that will be the end of it.
(And it will explain us perfectly)

thanks! And I'm not sure it's really about two people being in love. It's kinda about one person loving the other more, and being accepting of the fact that the love is not being reciprocated. Thanks for reading, anyway!

So honestly it didn't really make that much since..... I get that the too people are in love but the poem in a way just didn't flow right. Its really pretty but it just didn't seem to flow to me. I really like the second stanza though, that was sweet!

this was so fantastic!! i cant even get over how much i love the second verse, "if your heart turns to stone/I'll be sure to skip it across the atlantic/and let it sink to the bottom"   Its just so beautiful
