They Say
Falling in love happens slowly
They say
You fall a little here
A little there
And by the time you realize
It's like finding a part of you that existed all along
An extension of your being
So they say
I say sure
That might happen sometimes
But love might be spontaneous
Unexpected and lovely
You realize
That the love of your life
Has been right before your eyes
You curse yourself as a fool
Then start to watch for a sign, any sign
That maybe just maybe
They love you back.
So I say.
