Pleasure To Burn
Flames on the water,
The drive of my desire,
Ashes floating to the ground
Ice intertwined with fire...
Strands of the sun
Licking at the night sky,
Your face wreathed in smoke
Mine painted in a fever,
Passion and restraint
Ever waging war on each other.
Depend on this
That I will not fall
I shall rather float up,
As heat tends to rise
And fire am I.
Love is merely a disguise,
A clever facade
Cloaking the truth
With smiles and sunshine,
Rather than conveying
The reality.
Truth is,
We do not love.
We are merely ridden
With wants to fulfill.
We do not admit it,
But it is a Pleasure to Burn.
