Betrayal
Betrayal is like a knife in my heart
Ever so quick
Ever so sharp
For a heart like mine
Broken, and bruised, and ravaged by time
A knife to the heart shouldn't hurt at all
A knife to the heart shouldn't feel any pain
The tears shouldn't come pouring out like rain
The power of betrayal should be nothing to me
But I'm rotting and falling
Waking and lying
My tears don't stop because I'm screaming and crying
Gooey and black
Slimey and cruel
Why does my heart feel like a broken tool?
