Taker, Not a Giver
I hope you realize you’re the one
who’s tearing me to shreds
My mind floats in the waters;
Unraveling at the threads
Try and understand now
that one day I will be free
but until that moment finally comes
you have a hold on me
I am so deeply spiraling
In this sea of blue
The color of your eyes engulf me;
all I see is you
What you do to your own loves
is terrifyingly cold:
You drain all the love out of them
then let go of your hold
I understand,
but it can’t be helped,
so my heart is yours now
I won’t say treat it carefully
You’ll probably break it
anyhow
