Cruising the Boulevard
New York City; everlasting; the city that never sleeps
With its abundance of productivity; inspirations and dreams.
Well that's the city of Manhattan,
Her small little neighborhood was deprived of this satin.
Sure, at a distance the flashing lights looked so pretty;
But in this little hood, her dreams were big and it, itty bitty.
She realized this while cruising the boulevard in his car.
And although she knew it didn't work; she wished upon a star.
She closed her eyes and whispered out loud, "Take me away from here."
He who had overheard her, leaned in and whispered in her ear,
"Just confide in me and I will my dear.
I'll create a world filled with your sparkling shards."
She just smiled at him as the two continued cruising on the boulevard.
