A Moment Within a Sketch

With every stroke of the pencil
I rediscover my subject on a deeper level
I begin to feel the softness of her skin, the innocence of her eyes
As I continue to understand her line by line
I soon feel her heart-melting personality
And she is no longer in that picture
She is my reality, my companion
As I look into her eyes, she looks through me and heals my pain
I feel blessed to be healed by the thought of her
And as I recognize my artistic style falling in harmony with her face
I suddenly realize that I'm in love.
