Out of Reach
The heat of human hands
Merely recreate
What they destroy.
Lead me to a place
Of love
And eternal joy.
A smile tugs
Upon my lips;
Our hands are intertwined.
The clouds all scatter
Above our tree;
But it’s only in my mind.
Surrender is an easy task,
As easy as
The river’s flow.
But, my love,
Victory’s sweet taste
Is something all should know.
The heat of human hands
Merely recreate what they destroy;
Lead me to a place
Of love
And eternal joy.
The plume of grass
Between our toes
Await in twilight blue.
You have my heart;
You stole the key.
All I must do
Is search for you.
