taking the wrong ladder

I feel like a fish out of water.
Someone who doesn't even matter.
A person who probably went up the wrong ladder.
And over here I can’t even manage to think,
But there is no doubt that if I even take time to blink,
I should resign and get ready to sink.
The only things I can talk to in this place are birds,
You’ d be very surprised ,
They happen to know a lot of words.
