Acute Contradictions
I am just floating in a space right in between loneliness and being unwanted
Where our memories can't save me and the future possibilities can't salvage me
Like a child's balloon, free and happy
Unaware of the nothingness of the atmosphere it's headed towards
How is it that just minutes ago I searched with a sparkle in my eye
And how is it that within seconds someone you thought listened was the one talking
The only thing keeping me up here is the air inside of me
But what happens as time ages and I slowly deflate into a pile of skin and bones
I'm still hoping that someone will find me and reach out to hold my string
Hold my hand, unknown guide,
And rescue me from this uncertainty
