it's strange because i never liked the color
brown, but as i gaze into your eyes, i can't help but fall irrevocably
in love with the creamy, smooth, rich color
of mocha coffee, and i hesitate in
turning away
from you, because i don't know
if i can function completely without
the caffeine that is your eyes

I love the coffee metaphor. It works beautifully in this poem, starting with the use of the color imagery, and especially with the description of the "caffeine that is your eyes." That last line really brings the poem together, I love it.

This poem is so wonderful especially because she starts with saying how she doesn't like the color of his eyes but in the end admits she loves them
