Untitled
From the moment they wake up
And look out the door
There’s a world full of people
Waging silent cold wars
They bring it home to their beds
It’s lead in their heads,
In their soul
In their lives
From the moment they get up,
Step up to the task
They’re covered by masks
Of smiles and knives and wrongs that are right
And they live with their mask
‘Til the end of their days
Always with their cruel haze
To hide their face
And to erase
The bloody emotions that they feel inside
And to maintain their lives
With calmly told lies.
