Light and Dark and the Space In Between
Light weaves an endless life
Succumbing to darkness
That is truly only light
Light leads a painful night
It is the first hypocrite
The teacher of our ways
Light is a metaphor for good
It is food
In the stomachs of the hungry
The thoughts that
Tip the hat
Of the friendly gentleman
If light is good,
Then dark is bad
And sad and mad
It is the epitome
Of negative connotations
The ending of nations
It’s always darkest before the dawn,
Or so they say
To get their way
Or to get away
Before
Light and dark
Are all the same.
