Not Mourning
I don't see the reason to get upset
when you turn around
after I've given you my everything.
You walk away
and I don't scream "wait,"
because what could my tears change?
Love won't come back
just because I lock myself
in my room.
So people call me cold.
I call myself honest.
I'll get over what we once had.
After a few nights alone
and a few meals
not shared with anyone.
You aren't mine
you never were.
I haven't lost you.
I can't lose something
I never had.
