Real Or Not?
There is a boy
Who does not see and hear
Quite like the rest of us
Sometimes he imagines people
Sometimes he imagines things
He can not grasp real and false
He can not understand
Do you know what that would be like?
To live your life questioning if everything was fake?
Not knowing if the love you felt was true?
Not knowing if the arms that held you were actually there?
So to determine whether they are,
He reaches out to touch the things he sees
He touches you and me
His smile is a mile wide
He knows we are reality
But the saddest is watching him reach out
And seeing his smile fade
Because nothing is there
