Pedestal
Tampering with time and space itself, he marched through vast darkness with a vacuum. His eyes shook, straining to see but a milometer before him, but he needed not to worry, for bombast and pride stomped on all that already shivered in this man’s presence. With his vacuum, he sucked in the dark, clearing the way for the light and frothy façade of foreboding black. Dark eyes gorged on every inch before him and regurgitated dust for his vacuum.
As he gorged, anger revealed a grudge. The particular speck of dust for which he searched was hidden. He perched it on a pedestal, but reality rifted the particle and the man. Hungry vacuum in hand, the man searched for something that did not exist.
Yet, he marched through space, still searching for hidden time.
