Do You Remember?
Don’t you remember that time when
You were innocent
And you thought you were beautiful?
When your eyes were filled with youth and joy?
And now do you glance down at yourself
And think, What have I done?
What did I do to cause this?
Do you ever think “I look so ridiculous”
When people stare?
Everyday do you say
My life should end right now, I’m useless?
Well congratulations you have seen
What you look like in your own eyes
Now take a step back and look
Can you see it now?
Your beauty and your handsomeness?
Your kindness? Your uniqueness?
Can you see your heart now, child
Or are you thoughts still blurred with your memories?
