The Darkness
I only see darkness
Never the light
I hear boos and see evil glances
Never any smiles or laughter
The darkness is all around
No light can be found
Please help me to see
The true light inside of me
I fear there is none
But there may be some hope
For with hate comes love
And with dark there is light
I’m just another Edgar Allen Poe
Not someone like Jane Austen
For where there is rain
There is shine
But in this case I’m not so sure
Whether or not I should believe
That there is some light
Shining down on me
