Diana: Fallen, In Pieces
Broken glass on the bathroom floor
Shatters hopes and dreams.
Tear-stained truth
Shows itself in the vainglorious mirror.
A body
Curled up
Looks like a rose,
Not yet bloomed
Or else
Withered,
Past blooming.
Hair and sweat
And lipstick smeared on the
White bathroom mat.
She cries
Because everything is gone now.
