Hidden Sun
I look to my right
And I look to my left
Only to find mirror images.
I look up, searching for the sun
That has hidden behind a dark cloud.
I call out to him, pleading
But nothing changes.
I look in front of me,
So dark with unseen devils.
I back away from it
But run into a barrier.
My finger feel its rough bricks
As I stare back at the sun.
Another cry rings out.
The sun still remains behind the cloud.
I hang my head in defeat
Knowing the inevitable.
I stare into the darkness
And take one deep breath.
