Rough Today
i can’t see
through our mirrored
smoke burning from
watery, amalgamated lament
Liquid dreary and edged fuzzy
The world suddenly feels like
It’s dripping,
I suddenly feel like
I’m slipping,
Into uncharted waters.
Nostalgic, stark surmise
Is mine to hold,
Dirt in my back pocket.
without her
my thoughts are
garnered broken
shattered and tossed
into a tumultuous
junkyard river
and doesn’t it
make sense
for tears to blend
with this violent
sunlight
necessary brightness makes
angry rainbows,
bridges to that other world
