Solemn and silent
Standing
Lightly holding candles
Huddled under one umbrella
Two women
Lost in a crowd of people
A crowd of candle lit faces
One women wears heavy eyeliner
Lipstick
And a cheetah print scarf wrapped loosely around her head
The other nameless woman
Wears light makeup
Draped in an army coat
I can’t help but wonder
What brought this crowd of people here?
Are they hear to remember?
To reminisce?
To keep their memories of loved ones alive with the symbolic burning of a candle?
