Forget
When the night is old
And the dawn is near
No more biting cold
No more looming fear
The Sun will rise
The Moon will set
So open your eyes
And try to forget
Forget the fear that stole your breath
Forget the thoughts of pain and death
Forget the shadows’ terror and might
For dawn has come, and with it, light
The light will chase down all your fears
The Sun’s warm rays will dry your tears
So remember not the shadows’ wrath
For dark thoughts lead one down a dark path
When night again resumes it’s hold
And all that you can feel is cold
Remember that soon the sun will shine
And there will soon be better times
Remember that you will have to forget
Remember that the night must sometime relent
Close your eyes
Ignore the pain
Sometimes, it’s just a waiting game
The night must grow old
The dawn soon comes near
No more biting cold
No more looming fear
The Sun must rise
The Moon must set
So open your eyes
And try to forget
