Car Crash Hearts
Excuse me, please
But I couldn’t help notice
You leaning against the wall
With a faraway expression
You’ll have to forgive
This Car Crash Heart of mine
Because I can’t seem to stop staring
It’s wonderful and horrible
How fast I tend to fall in love
It’s a hideous habit
Almost as bad as biting your nails
But the fact that it’s with you
I would never regret
I’m wondering how many ways I can tell you you’re beautiful
And manage to get you to flush
Because that color of pink I imagine you turning
Sounds absolutely charming
If I can get you to become flustered
I’ll have done my job
And once I let you know that you are lovely
I can continue on my way
It’s up to you to take it any further
But just know
That if you were to call
And tell me that I’m worth it
I would turn around so fast the world would shift
And wait
For us
