The Waiting
Won't you save me, love, from
the waiting?
I can hear the wind pleading,
and crying,
and screaming.
The madness of the clouds, love,
is consuming.
Through the white noise and static
blares moaning
and bleeding.
I lay on my side, love,
just waiting.
Your words could be comforting,
and closing,
and completing.
How much longer, love, will you
be sleeping?
I make to avoid lying,
more sighing,
keep trying.
Love, I want to hear your
soft breathing
But also see your eyes staring
and loving,
and caring.
I keep on wondering, love, if you
are dreaming.
Is your heartbeat thumping,
and fluttering,
and whispering
my name?
