running from your memories
when all world worries lye in your lap,
and your heart starts ripping at the seams,
the humming from behind the tap,
becomes your loudest screams.
when no one will listen,
or take away the load,
and tears make eyes glisten,
no choice as to which road.
when no light can be seen,
and you start to question god,
you fear for where you have been,
just give up on life and nod.
no way to see forward,
no love in future ahead,
all your dreams have been slaughtered,
and thrown in an overgrown grave-bed.
pull back those tears,
and push on the coffin door,
count to 10 and forget your fears,
place your feet on a solid floor.
sew up your scars,
with a rose thorn and thread,
forget the brightest stars,
follow your heart instead.
