I Keep Remembering You
the taste of you
lingers on my lips
i think of you every time i drink the alcohol
that burns my throat
helping me forget you
your cologne has nestled itself
deep in the stitches of my clothes
making it impossible not to think about you
to the point i starve
so they hang off my skeleton
allowing me to burn them;
burn you
the words ive spoken to you,
the ones i wish i did
cling to my breath like a spider to the last piece of its web
swaying desperately in the wind
every time i breathe
so i stop
