Righteous Monster
Who am I?
Am I who causes nightmares?
Who always caught your eye?
But you never dared
To chase.
Am I the monster
Who waits for little girls to fall asleep?
So I can devour her
And her innocence so sweetly
Without a trace of guilt
Or am I the righteous one
Who are the very few
Who do no wrong
And are banished to the shadows
Who will rust with history
Am I an inbetween
Who is part of the monsters and righteous
But are hardly seen
Because they are unknown to us
But faces in a yearbook or street
I shall die
As everyone else
But as what
The Monster
The Righteous
Or myself
Who will it be?
My heart and soul
Or the monster who keeps me
In the darkness of the fold
Will I be forever lost?
