I am Sad
I am sad today, I’m not too sure why.
I’ve nothing wrong with me today, everything is fine.
I usually am only sad when things are going wrong.
Maybe it’s the sound of this very lonely song.
The way its melody is so very mellow,
The lyrics of a woman’s long lost fellow.
Or maybe I am sad for the places I’ve never been,
France, Rome, Japan, or anywhere within.
Maybe it’s the people, whom I will never meet,
The ones I would love, and the ones who would be really sweet.
But then again maybe it’s none of those things.
Maybe it’s because of this new tune my heart sings,
One where absolutely nothing is wrong.
It’s so new; I’m not used to this song.
I’m so used to sadness, I’m sad that it’s gone.
