Not Fast Enough

Monday comes around,
I wish it were Tuesday.
Tuesday appears,
And I anticipate Wednesday.
Wednesday sneaks up,
And I cannot wait for Thursday.
Thursday is here,
But if only it were Friday.
Friday has finally come,
But, I would prefer Saturday.
Saturday has arrived,
But before it is cherished,
It’s Sunday.
And soon,
The Sunday moon will rise,
And then it’s Monday.
The never-ending cycle:
Of time passing too slowly.
