Love is...
Love is a child
Reaching for his mother
Love is a sister
And her knucklehead brother
Love is a bird
Soaring the blue skies
Love is holding a friend
When she cries
Love is a first love
That you’re sure will last forever
Love is a next love
That is somehow even better
Love is an old, old couple
Laughing in the park
Love is a warm embrace
When it seems so cold and dark
Love is the music
Heard only by the dancer
Love is a question
We all want to answer
Love is what we search for
Around the whole world
Love is two people
Whom together form a whole
So if we ban
Two people’s love
because it’s “gross,” “strange”
or even “wrong”
We make a choice to
embrace the hate
that we strive to eradicate
Love is two people
ANY two people
Because any love
And ALL love
is equal.

"I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities."<br /> --Dr. Seuss
