Life
Is a battlefield
But the warriors
Are never healed,
They fight from their first day
To the hour when
At last,
They lay
Dead upon a broken bed
That was aged by tears
Those warriors shed.
For in life,
Gold turns to lead
And flies from the gun
Into their head.
