Seasons
Sunshine, happiness. The memories of that summer. Never caring about the
consequences, never caring about the future. We live now and only now, we
are Forever Young. Eternal Youth. That summer, those friends, that boy.
Snow, stress. The school year begins. The projects and assignments pile. The phone
calls grow shorter, the visits all but cease to exist. The future catches up. The
youthfulness grows weary, the worry creeps up.
Warmth, relaxation. It dwindles down. The workload eases, the days grow longer.
Those long lost friends are found, and the life we choose to live returns to us.
The end of problems nears, almost done.
Sunshine, happiness. Our memories are refreshed with the new and the recent. We
no longer care, we are done with those teachers and those useless
assignments. Living in the moment is our new way of life.
Happiness, greatness. Forgetting the stress of the year, forgetting the useless drama
and the petty fights. Forgetting the bad, holding on to the good. Learning
from mistakes and never ceasing to be living and alive.
