It's Her Time
She will pack her things
All her worldly possessions
She will get into her car
Her life will take a new direction
She isnt quite ready yet
She doesnt really want to go
Shes in love here in this state
With the people and places she knows
But she cannot wait forever
Chasing dreams she cant quite reach
The memories here are haunting
And enchanting to say the least
She will always love this place
Beautiful michigan skies
Puffy clouds of white
Block the sun from teary eyes
She hopes that when she looks
Up into the midnight sky
You will see the moon
And think of her
And how it made her fly
Shes driving now
Speeding on the freeway
If she looks back, even for a second
She will breakdown, because
This is far from easy
The peddle is to the floor
The windows rolled down
The wind rustles through her hair
Smoke pours out her mouth
Once she hits the border
She wont ever be coming back
All she has are memories
All of the good, all of the bad
She never ever stays
Anywhere for long
So she is sorry
She is leaving
But its her time
And now she's gone
