Silhouette
A shadow is basically one of the few
remaining fragments a person
can cast on this Earth.
though they may say
that your shadow is based by the position
of the sun or
the time of day.
some think that a shadow and a silhouette and a shadow are the same --
but they're not.
They're not, and those same fools say a number of other things
as well.
the larger your frame, the bigger the burden;
smaller to substantial amount of woe;
the longer your shadow, the greater distance your dreams will fall short;
shorter is sadder;
going so-on and so-forth.
This is the optimistic point of view.
Until this sad little life ends,
your silhouette,
your shadow of grief
- your haunted eyes -
erased.
Not forever, and not for never either
But for whatever portion of time
You manage to bother
to try
to brave the dark.
