I Wish
I have a wish
A wish that war would be forgotten
And that disaster would cease
For people are dying
Children are wandering
In a desolated land
Crying out for their lost parents,
Talking to those who cannot hear,
What good does war do to this world?
Fear, Destruction, Ruin
I have a wish
That we could live in peace together
We could fight and forget
The fear and pain,
The anguish and rage,
Of our soul
Sharing hope and desire for a better future
All this hope that had once been hidden away in our hearts
Could now be released and replaced by
The light that dances within
I have a wish
That one day
In this green field
I could take a dandelion
And with a gentle breeze
Blow it into the sky
Though as I watch it fade into the clouds
From the horizon many more appear
So many I cannot see the sky
So many wishes, So many hopes
