it's not your fault
there’re sirens tearing up the night
painting the night white red and blue
and you can almost understand the sight
waiting right in front of you
you wish you could have saved him
but his life was his to take
and i hope you know its not a sin
to make a simple mistake
there’s no way you could have known
what was going on inside
he wore his mask of stone
and it was his choice to die
i know you need time to grieve
but better days will follow
he was the air you breathed
but its time to let him go
