Father Figure
How you've stayed this long, it's a miracle. My only fear is that you'll see me drip a tear. You say you want the best for this family. I got a mom i can stand barely so you have to stay, that's what everyday i pray, that you father stay. Now lets reminisce, back to when it wasn't bliss. I was aroubd eight and it was very late. You and mom got to arguing and i heard the worst news I ever heard you say. "I'm leaving" i had trouble believing so i got a closer look while my little heart beating hard, i went to investigate the scene. I saw your tears flowing and my mom's anger growing, so I clutched you tight saying I wont let you go without a fight. I know I was young but I promise you I screamed at the top of my lungs. Your the only one I can talk to, only you. You say "Son it's going to be okay" but still see a rainy day. So sir thats why i cry to hear you say goodbye. You father mean a lot to me, I hope you see.
