The Mime
Out of the endless black
A white face appeared
Staring out into the audience
That waited quietly for him.
Gloved hands pressed against the air
The white face fell
And fear filled his eyes
Because he was tramped
In an invisible box.
He started to shrink
As the imaginary cage shrunk
Until he was on his knees.
The audience gasped
Wondering what would happen now.
The white gloves shook
And punched the walls
With all his might!
The mime broke free
And the audience cheered
As he smiled
And took a bow.
