You created me
Failure was never an option for me, until pleasing others was my main goal.
It was the only thing I had on my to do list each day,
Wearing my hair a certain way, dressing a certain way,
All of this for the approval and satisfaction of others.
It was the new thing, the new trend, the new fashion, the new style.
That’s how it should always be, pleasing people is cool,
It is even better once you fail…
You know why?
Because you find who you are, you find the real you under the pile of clothes that weren’t your
style, hair styles that didn’t fit you,
But most of all under the bigger pile of low self esteem, no confidence, and confusion.
Pleasing others was how I found myself; it made me who I am.
The Whitney I should have been, the Whitney I will be.
They say the key to failure is trying to please everybody
Well I have the key and unlocked the door to the new me and who I should and will be.
Unlocked the door of happiness, and confidence and I unlocked the door of success.
