Curtain Call
The curtain opens
The stage is set
The world the performer
And I the audience
So slow she moves
But yet so fast
While every moment flees farther into the past
I watch as she dances
So flexible and strong
With such beauty
I want to dance along

The beauty that she bares
Although flawed and imperfect
When dressed in her costume
She makes the outing worth it
By the end of the show
I’m tired and lonesome
She takes her majestic bow
“What a great performance?”
The curtains finally close on her
Finally I am free
