Silence of Eve

Her verse is not yet a song
But yet one man sets the tone.
Failure took a swinging hold
As all harmony fell flat.
From fire form to freezing cold,
The blooming lyrics end at that.

Pushing wind and water,
Even if Adam didn't enjoy her song.
He laughed echoing, time after.
As the verse continued to a sing-a-long.
But now that her voice is at its best
Finally, she lays down to rest.

The silence lingers from day to day,
Though night memories live to sing on.
It's not the same, despite what she may say.
Now I resent the coming dawn.

Her song isn't gone,
But it's as quiet as it gets.
